Family Portraits Outfit & Grooming Guidance

Family photos time!

Although the kids usually complain (I definitely did!) family photos are so important. They represent a moment in time, a snapshot of where you and your family are at this cross roads. Family portraits should represent each individual member as well as the entire family unit.

Outfit Guidance

  • Color Pallet
  • Choose colors that go with the season, or location.
  • White and denim is always a classic combination if you are struggling to decide
  • Try and stick with every member of the family being in a similar color family, but not matching exactly (unless that very specific style is what you are going for!
  • Outfit types
  • Try an mix it up a bit if possible to add some visual interest. Dresses and pants/shorts together makes things less boring (although not on the same person at the same time).
  • Try not to be TOO matchy-matchy.

Grooming Guidance

Just try not to stress! Pictures are more adorable when kids hair is out of place. Make sure you are looking and feeling your best as well as your coparent. Touch up facial hair and make sure it is well groomed.
